You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Quality Assurance Branch (TRF-512), Control Division (TRF-510), in the Supply Department (TRF-500), TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will ensure proper stock levels for a set of supply items to meet customer needs and determine quantities to reorder. You will review computer generated stock listings of items to be replenished. You will check stock items against upcoming requirements, past patterns, pending orders of substitutes, etc. and complete changes in the quantity desired for input into the system. You will follow up on material on order. You will review status of orders at various points in the requisitioning process. You will advise on improvements at enhancing supply support operations.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

GS-07- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled audits and reconciliation on stock material processes and stock records, utilizing both Navy ERP and locally developed programs. Experience analyzing and reconciling material and documentation discrepancies with the objective of eliminating root causes of errors. Experience researching and investigating selected processes to determine adherence with directives. Experience coordinating research of Navy ERP records and coordinates action related to SDRs with employees of all divisions of the Supply Department to assure responses are accurate and within timeframes required. Experience performing quality control tasks required to ensure the quality of supply processes generated from the interaction of Navy ERP and local programs and applications.
