You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Quality/ Inventory Control Branch (TRF-514), Control Division Staff (TRF-510), Supply Department (TRF-500), Trident Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will make reasonable determinations about potential losses and gains for stock materials. You will ensure the accuracy of warehouse locations and records. You will initiate action to correct discrepancies and minimizes the loss of valuable government property. You will compare location audit sheets to determine if other locations exist for a given item. You will annotate count sheets accordingly and forwards to the Storage Branch for correction of duplicate locations and performs spot inventory to reconcile the discrepancy.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Information Technology (IT) Level II

Qualifications

GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized Experience: Experience utilizing Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) on a daily basis for causative research, stock checks, stock locations, and entering inventory counts. Experience planning, performing and completing warehouse functions for material location audits consisting of verification of materials and their recorded locations. Experience coordinating and conducting physical inventories, location surveys, location audit research and quality control checks of stock material. Experience performing causative research and analysis associated with material inventory and inventory reconciliation.
