About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Chief of a Military Branch. Incumbent is responsible for the vertical and horizontal integration of products to produce the projects and manage the programs assigned to the Branch.
This position requires Certification with the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP). The individual will have two years to obtain and maintain the PMP certification upon entering the position.
Duties
Works closely with the DPPM, deputies and other principal staff, providing assistance in assessing district mission and work requirements and in developing corporate plans, goals, and objectives.
Supports the DPPM in the formulation of the district's annual program budget and forecasts military construction and support for others.
Supervises a staff of project managers, administrative support team members.
Supports the district's readiness posture by developing and periodically updating appropriate portions of the emergency and mobilization plans for the assigned organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to complete Form 450, "Confidential Financial Disclosure Report" by 30 October of each year.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is 15% of the time.
