About the Position: Serve as Chief, Civil Works Integration Division, responsible for district support function to assure projects are completed within targeted costs and schedules. Responsible for overall planning, directing, and coordinating varied activities of Civil Works Teams in the execution of the Civil Works and provides Civil Works support to the International and Interagency Services (IIS) Programs for successful mission execution.

Duties

Review and evaluate the Regional Business Center (RBC) mission accomplishment status. Define and resolve unusually complex project issues. Coordinate appropriate recommendations for requests for expert opinion and advice on proposed revisions to policy and procedures impacting Districts in coordination with regional Communities of Practice (CoP) leaders and POD RIT at Washington D.C Continuously seek ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote effective team relationships, and improve business practices to ensure projects are delivered within agreed to costs, schedule, and quality. Exercise extensive coordination with Superiors and HQ to determine each District's capabilities and needs and setting priorities for the RBC for achieving maximum effectiveness of HQ POD personnel providing support to Districts. Integration and reconciliation of the perspectives of the Programs Directorate and Division Headquarters elements to assure adherence to Dept of the Army commitments made to Congress, installations, local sponsors, local governments, and agencies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 15%.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
