Duties

Serve as the Program Manager and Director, US Army Pacific (USARPAC) Army Training Land Retention (ATLR) responsible for the acquisition, retention and management of Training Land for the assigned regions. Responsible for advocating, negotiating, petitioning and managing USARPAC and HQDA equities for the development and execution of options for retaining training lands. Monitors, tracks, review, and analyzes proposed land, training grounds, and related legislation, regulations, and polices that could potentially impact Army/DoD operations or could increase Army/DoD land compliance requirements and costs. As the technical expert in all facets of ATLR is delegated the authority and responsibility for planning, coordinating, synchronizing, and accomplishing actions essential to the successful retention of the training land. Monitors and is cognizant of Army land programs that are underway in the region.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes leading in the development, execution, negotiation, and management of all measures to retain leased training land; resolving complex issues in the development of the Army Training Land Retention (ATLR) program implementation; and managing program budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
