About the Position: This position serves as Chief, Program and Budget Division, with responsibility for programming, budgeting, controlling, and administering the use of appropriated funds, to include authorizing the use of such funds by the program directors for the accomplishment of approved programs. This position is located at Fort Irwin, CA.

Duties

Administers the Garrison's overall budgetary management system. Provides budgetary and technical leadership for the development of cost estimates associated with long-range multi-year studies. Implements, administers, and assesses impact of budget programs which incorporate the Army's Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution process utilizing the Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) Directs, coordinates and oversees work directly and through subordinate supervisors. Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, and in advising management officials of higher rank.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position and requires to comply with DoD and DA requirements of this certification program. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required
