About the Position: This is a Military Analyst (Space & Missile Defense System) position, Center of Excellence (CoE), Army Capability Manager Space and High Altitude (ACM SHA) with duty location of Fort Carson, CO.

Duties
Serves as a team leader, project leader and/or technical specialist with respect to United States Army Space and Missile Defense (SMD) Center of Excellence (CoE) Army Capability Manager Space and High Altitude (ACM SHA).
Provides expert consultation, professional documentation, and advice to (ACM SHA) leadership, senior government officials, and contractors on assigned areas of responsibility.
Plans the efforts of contractors, consultants, government agencies engaged in identification involving future Army space and missile defense systems.
Attends meetings with government organizations, academia and private industry, and conferences.
Represents SMDC in meetings and committees with other command and other Combatant Commanders.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Drug Test Required: This position may be covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent may be required to sign a DA Form 5019-R.
- This position requires the employee travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) developing plans and/or techniques to fit new situations to improve overall Space Development program and policies; (2) developing Space doctrine, requirements, experimentation, training, and/or concepts of operations policies and/or programs; and (3) analyzing the effectiveness of space systems to meet a Federal Governmental Agency needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11)
