This position is located in the Asset Forfeiture Division, Arlington, VA. The selectee of this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position serves as the Assistant Program Manager of the Audits and Internal Controls Unit for the AFD and is responsible for the administration of a broad range of management services including internal controls, financial statement audits, policy and procedure governance, and quality assurance.

Duties

As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Evaluates business practices, trends, and technology and recommends changes to established policies, procedures, processes, systems, methods, and practices where required to streamline or improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the services provided. Serves as principal audit liaison responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing audits of asset forfeiture activities to include the Department of Justice (DOJ) Asset Forfeiture Program's annual financial statement audit of the Seized Asset Deposit Funds and Assets Forfeiture Fund. Plans and directs the establishment and implementation of internal controls that ensure all asset forfeiture transactions are accurate, balanced, and properly accounted for in the appropriate financial systems. Directs the establishment and administration of quality assurance programs to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the USMS Asset Forfeiture Program. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination of suitability for a Public Trust position.

  • May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probation period.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply. To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following: Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: Providing administrative, technical, and human resources management supervision to staff members to include but not limited to career development, performance management, and disciplinary; Conducting financial statement audits and organization-wide internal control testing in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), and/or Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular No. A-123; Identifying, analyzing, and resolving gaps in policy, procedure, or operational activities; and Overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures for an organization or significant program.
