Duties

You will administer and manage a major data management system that requires the integration of several other systems. You will install and configures database management systems and software. You will perform configuration management, problem management, capacity management, and financial management for databases and data management systems. You will develop data models and database designs that meet complex or intricate business requirements. You will ensure compliance with data management standards and recommends new or modified standards to increase efficiency. You will analyze and resolved the most difficult customer support requests involving integration or configuration related issues.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 421 level I- Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience managing, optimizing and integrating multiple database platforms AND additional experience in trouble shooting database performance utilizing monitoring tools and execution plan analysis.
