Duties

You will oversee the development of system security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures and system security evaluations and reviews. You will oversee the implementation and execution of a phone/ticket escalation processes to ensure free flowing escalation and information within the organization. You will develop and implement performance criteria to ensure that customer support service requirements are achieved You will oversee contracted workforce performance and measure against statement of work requirements and provide information, details and analysis regarding operations, cost, schedule, performance, policy, and process issues to Leadership

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance. This is a testing designated position.
  • Occasional travel is required up to 25%, which may involve the use of commercial and/or government aircraft.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • The incumbent is required to report for duty, as necessary, in an emergency (regardless of holidays, weekends, nights, furloughs) or conditions such as weather in which non-essential personnel are not expected to report

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position has been designated as a Cyberspace Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role of Program Manager proficiency level Advanced, and Technical Support Specialist proficiency Level Advanced.
  • You are required to obtain and maintain foundational and residential qualifications within prescribed timelines and participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03 and supporting DON policies.

Qualifications

You are required to have information technology (IT) related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include recommending project priorities along with phasing, resource requirements, and special project considerations. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include: Supporting the process of determining root cause of issues and ensuring communication to internal and external customers 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, and responds appropriately. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include Participating in working groups and teams; conducting briefings and other meetings; gaining cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals; facilitating successful operations. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include making decisions on technical and personnel problems presented by subordinates. In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, you are required to have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: Developing, implementing, and maintaining various policies, and Service Level and Business Level Agreements, defining minimal requirements and expectations for the delivery of customer support services This position is within the Work Category SUPERVISION/MANAGEMENT at Work Level Senior, Series and Grade GG-2210-14.
