You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE-HAWAII (HRO HI) of COMPACFLT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE.
Duties
You will be responsible for providing position management and classification services to a diverse group of COMPACFLT activities.
You will participate in position management exercises and real working discussions with other specialists and/or supervisor to gain knowledge and experience through observation and research.
You will conduct position management analysis for specific assignments (live and/or training) on ways to improve structure, work distribution, and the use of employee skills.
You will evaluate and determine appropriate position titles, occupational series, and grade(s) against OPM classification standards, DON/DOD classification guidance, and OPM appeal decisions/consistency reviews.
You will be responsible for timely review and intake of new requests, enter and maintain status of actions in the internal database to ensure work is managed effectively and all stakeholders have access to up-to-date information.
You will maintain shared responsibility for uploading and updating position descriptions in PD library to ensure all parties are working with the latest documents.
You will assist in position reviews, consistency reviews, or other types of classification-related projects, but will receive close oversight and guidance from higher-level employee or supervisor.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing OPM Position Classification Standards and Policies to perform work that involves the fundamentals of Human Resources classification principles, policies, practices, methods, and analytical techniques; Gathering and analyzing facts and drawing conclusions from information collected; Communicating information clearly, orally and in writing.
