You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the ACIO/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA.
Duties
You will implement advanced Windows Group Policies for DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) compliance and provide hardening for preventative measures to defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
You will work with vulnerability management of all domain systems, ensure appropriate IAVMs are addressed on all operating systems.
You will coordinate and participate in technology life-cycle activities that involve server operations, virtualization and other server services, to include performance monitoring tools.
You will coordinate technology deployments and implement standard configuration settings to comply with DOD operational directives and guidance.
You will provide technical guidance and instruction to other IT specialist assigned to support technology services to include Windows, Cisco, Linux, HBSS and ACAS systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451-System Administrator level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading research and analysis on computer software and hardware systems to identify and provide technical direction in resolving vulnerabilities and developing mitigation plans for organizational information security systems.
