You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PLANNER AND ESTIMATOR in the COMMANDING OFFICER, MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, and PRODUCTION LINES DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
The duty location of this position is Naval Air Station, San Diego, California.
Duties
You will develop, implement and coordinate rework requirements while evaluating and controlling the extent of the rework.
You will coordinate the work of several aircraft trades in readying aircraft for flight inspection.
You will analyze malfunctions and determine if adjustment, repair or replacement is required.
You will monitor and ensure compliance of subordinate staff certification and license requirements.
You will prepare required reports, initiates correspondence and prepares replies regarding program functions.
You will demonstrate proper trade techniques and practices and explain safety precautions.
Requirements

- Position requires lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds. Any weight lifted in excess of 40 pounds will not be attempted unaided.
- Must obtain and maintain all required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.
- Monitors and ensures compliance of subordinate staff certification and license requirements as a condition of employment.
- You will/may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

A. I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including: 1) Coordinating to maintain a working library of reference materials such as manuals, handbooks, standards, specifications, drawings, and design criteria for the product line when and/or as applicable; 2) Analyzing incoming Planning and Estimating requests, determining modification, configuration, material aging exploration, corrosion damage, paint condition, erosion, plating, heat/fire/saltwater damages, hard landings, overstressed conditions, and direct repairs; 3) Planning and estimating overview duties as well as development of production work package documents that facilitate an organized accomplishment of work on assigned aircraft, aircraft components, engines, engine systems and other support programs; 4) Supervising Aircraft Examiners to include those listed under Aircraft Integrated Systems Mechanic, Planner & Estimators, Logs & Records Clerks, Aircraft Data Technicians, Aircraft Data Specialists, Work Leaders with Examiner functions and aircraft workers of various trades used in support of the aircraft program; 5) Ensuring the product line served meets the following: NAMP requirements, technical specifications, negotiated material requirements, labor requirements, safety, environmental, and capability requirements using the latest methods of planning and estimating methods and techniques; and 6) Developing, implementing, and coordinating workload plans that must comply with established policies and procedures to include various trades to facilitate work on assigned aircraft, aircraft components, and support systems. I am considered an expert or I am consulted by other employees in difficult situations and work with a high degree of independence.
B.
