You will serve as a PLANNER & ESTIMATOR (AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL & REPAIR) in the Planner & Estimator Branch, Workload Scope Determination Division, and Industrial Execution Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The incumbent is responsible for scheduling aircraft overhaul workload plans for the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and provides information regarding emergent work, work center down time, and reprocessing requirements which can jeopardize the execution of the plan.

Duties

You will plan, estimate, and coordinate negotiated workload requirements of inducted and assigned Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI), In-Service Repair (ISR), and Modification aircraft systems and sub-systems. You will serve as a technical representative regarding capability, capacity, planning, scheduling, and estimating of costs associated with the overhaul and repair program. You will coordinate with various Depot entities to identify the most efficient method of processing to aggressively reduce independent and dependent demand turn-around-time. You will prepare command correspondences, production, and status reports for senior management and other command activities. You will coordinate the delivery of aircraft, drafts Naval messages, updates Aircraft Production Expectation Status (APES) report, induction letter, delivery letter, writes evaluation documents, and damaged aircraft condition reports. You will analyze statistical, man-hour, material, and workload information to develop an executable production schedule.

  • Work assignments involve walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, climbing and lifting.
  • This position is subject to lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance, and over 40 pounds will not be attempted unaided.
  • You may subject to environmental factors such as working outside and inside, excessive heat, cold, noise, dust, vibration, and working in confined spaces.
  • You may exposed to industrial materials such as cleaning chemicals, solvents, hydraulic fluids, oils and greases.
  • Selectee(s) may occasionally be required to use toxic chemicals and/or work in the presence of toxic fumes requiring the use of appropriate breathing apparatus.
  • You must be able to obtain/maintain required certification and/or license, as a condition of employment.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Provide Production Support Services where you have the ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including: 1) Utilizing industrial processes, aircraft maintenance procedures, and technical specifications to meet production goals; 2) Determining aircraft scheduling and process workflow management; 3) Interpreting, analyzing, and applying schematics, blueprints, specifications, technical publications, and technical directives; and 4) Producing reports that contains comprehensive aircraft status and financial information to management.
