About the Position: Serves as team leader, team member, or works independently as a management analyst with responsibility to direct, coordinate, justify, defend, and/or negotiate management improvement programs, principles, and practices throughout the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) located in Fort Novosel, Alabama.

Duties

Assists supervisor by ensuring work assignments are based on priorities and selective considerations of the difficulty of assignments and capabilities of personnel. Recommends resolutions in situations where the packages need further analysis, modifications, or re-evaluation for consideration, risk and Aviation overall impacts. Responsible for monitoring the acquisition requirements of the overall USAACE, ensuring the division chief and leadership are aware of upcoming deadlines. Provides recommendations for improvement with respect to any resourcing content. Develops and delivers training to USAACE Commanders/ Directors and support staff.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary travel duty (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
  • Must obtain and maintain Secret background investigation.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingManages and Organizes InformationPlanning and EvaluatingProgram Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-11.
