About the Position: Serve as senior staff analyst, planner, evaluator, and advisor regarding the effectiveness and efficiency with which G33/G35 Future Plans/Operations Division, and subordinate components carry out their assigned operational programs and functions. Responsible for the creation, development, tracking and analysis of all assigned time sensitive work products, with objectively based information. This position is located in Fort Novosel, Alabama.

Duties

Analyze and evaluate issues, which are typically diverse in nature, and extrapolates existing methods and operational procedures for future requirements. Develop products for USAACE that support special events such as pandemic response, HUREVAC and National Disaster Support and Response. Request, collect, review, analyze, and prepare input necessary to satisfy reporting requirements on USAACE directed near, mid and long-term actions and programs. Represent the organization on various standing and committees/panels, and at various external/internal conferences/reviews. Defend and promote acceptance of the organization's position on any of the assigned operational actions as indicated above. Provide operational direction and guidance to the Ready and Resilient (R2) Performance Center contract team, provided by HQDA to improve, and sustain the readiness and resiliency of the USAACE team. Coordinate directly with the G3, and/or USAACE Commanders and Directors, on any issues or conflicts with the R2 contract team.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is required approximately 5% of the duty time.
  • Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
  • Recruitment/Relocation/Retention Incentive may be authorized.
