About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.
Duties
Serves as the senior Program Analyst responsible for the planning, programming, budgeting, and management of command resources.
Conducts studies, analyses, and evaluations relating to command programs.
Plans and implements processes and procedures for long-range planning and programming.
Directs the work operation of employees engaged in professional, technical, or administrative work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Secret Clearance is required.
- TDY up to 25% may be required.
- This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department
of the Army requirements of this certification program.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Conducting studies and analyses of mission and mission support programs throughout a Command 2) Developing written reports and studies utilizing results of research and data analysis and 3) Expertise with manpower, budget, accounting, accounting systems in order to perform program analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
