About the Position:
Work under the general supervision of the Chief of Staff, Chief of the Synchronization and Initiatives Group in the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), in coordination with the Commanding General and senior leaders. Provide programmatic knowledge management and quality management support across all functional areas. This position is located at U. S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (DOTD), Fort Novosel, Alabama.
Duties
Develop and update USAACE’s Knowledge Management Plan.
Perform as action officer for the center’s knowledge management plan with the purpose of capturing, transferring and archiving tacit and explicit knowledge and address the components.
Conduct research and seeks input from experts.
Operationalize USAACE’s Knowledge Management Plan.
Formulate and execute actions to implement the plan including but not limited to developing policies, controls and guidance, establishing programs, and establishing standard operating procedures.
Acquire necessary services, equipment, and supplies.
Lead and coordinate functional area Knowledge Manager POCs, including regular meetings, to effect implementation, resolve issues, and evaluate efficacy.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
- This is a Term NTE 3 years position.

This is a Term position and can be extended up to a maximum of six years. Extensions may be made for term appointments in one-year increments, not to exceed 6 years. It may be made permanent without further competition.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Directing studies of work processes; conducting management knowledge and organizational analysis; reviewing existing regulatory data to determine and make recommendations to management officials to develop management plan. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
