You will serve as the Office Manager for the Deputy Commandant for Information (DCI) Information Intelligence Division of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will manage office space, equipment, and supplies to ensure that staff have the resources needed to perform their duties.
You will establish and monitor office procedures, workflows, and processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
You will develop and manage office budgets, including tracking expenditures and ensuring that resources are used effectively.
You will provide high-level administrative support to senior management or other staff, such as drafting and reviewing correspondence, preparing reports, and managing calendars.
You will manage office records, ensuring compliance with record-keeping regulations and policies.
You will assist in developing and implementing office policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, service directives, and organizational guidelines.
You will assist with special projects related to office operations, such as process improvements, implementation of new systems, and office relocation.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-Year DCIPS trial period requirement.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Maintain the calendars and schedules, arrange travel, train and prepare management for travel and training;
2) Analyze and evaluate the administrative operational procedures and requirements for organizational efficiency and productivity;
3) Prepare and manage the budget, spending plan and monthly and quarterly execution reviews for the office;
4) Review and edit all command correspondence and other written material for adherence to the Naval Correspondence Manual format, grammar, accuracy, consistency and substance.
OR
- Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
- Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
- Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
