Duties

This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Intelligence Division, Office of Intelligence Programs (NI) in Arlington, Virginia. The primary purpose is to support the Office of Intelligence Programs (NI). The incumbent evaluates, plans, and analyzes programs to measure the effectiveness of NI. As a Program Analyst your typical work assignments may include: Applies a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess ad improve management effectiveness and productivity. Provides expert advice and guidance on broad projects that require extensive interpretation, such as legislative or judicial intent and advice on revisions to existing policies. Reviews, advises on, and conducts complex analyses, evaluations, or investigations in support of organizational programs, systems, and processes. Recommends long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones. Establishes and maintains liaison with program directors. Documents and reports study results to management. Qualifications

Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcripts with your application. Basic Qualification Requirements: Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing plans to evaluate high-level programs, conducting program studies and preparing assessment reports of overall effectiveness and providing sounds recommendations that address performance gaps.
