You will serve as a Program Manager (Chief of Staff) for the Joint Program Manager - Protection (JPM-P). This is a Marine Corps Systems Command position assigned to the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND).
Duties
You will lead meetings and conferences to achieve goals, ensure follow-up actions, and coordinate with Marine Corps and Department of Navy staff on major and sensitive issues.
You will set staff objectives, develop long-range plans, and identify resources to ensure organizational efficiency.
You will interpret and implement policies, guide managers, and oversee policies, plans, and analysis to improve program operations.
You will perform high-level program reviews, identifying and implementing corrective actions to support program and resource sustainability.
You will delegate tasks to subordinates, set and adjust priorities, evaluate performance, provide guidance, and identify training needs to enhance employee performance.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or Secret final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Acquisition Workforce (AWF) members must complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing a diverse team, collaborating with senior leaders and inter-agency partners, developing long-term plans, optimizing program efficiency through policy and program review, and coordinating program goals and resources with key senior leadership.
