About the Position: Manages and administers the Community Health Promotion Council (CHPC) and its related working groups, unit health promotion teams and sub processes IAW AR 600-63 and HQDA OPORD Enduring Personal Readiness and Resilience, Annex G. Establishes governance for CHPC operation at the installation/senior command echelon.

Duties

Manage and administer the Commander’s Readiness and Resilience Council and or other related working groups. Coordinate, plans, organize and implement comprehensive health promotion and wellbeing activities. Outline goals and objectives to prevent and minimize high risk behaviors or issues within a community. Establish and evaluate outcome based strategic goals.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing drug and alcohol substance abuse statistical data or other metric data for assessment of community health promotion/prevention programs; 2) Initiating community health promotion/prevention programs; 3) Collaborating with high-level senior military officials and key holistic community health members to ensure program objectives are met; and 4) Establishing command goals and/or objectives for community readiness and resiliency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
