You will serve as a Production Controller (Ships) in the Waterfront Operations Division (300), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenace Center of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will act as the business agent for MARMC with other activities involved in the assigned availability/contracts. You will maintain liaison with customers, ship’s force, and contractors on all matters on all assigned availabilities from advance planning through post completion. You will act as funds administrator for the assigned availability and contracts. You will coordinate and accomplish planning, estimating, design specification preparation, and scheduling. You will conduct the arrival conference, weekly progress conferences, and represent MARMC at all conferences pertaining to the assigned availability and contracts.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• You will be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience acting as funds administrator for contracts of ship; Experience planning, estimating, scheduling, expediting labor, machines, and materials in an industrial environment; Experience leading project management teams; Experience managing ship/vessel repair job orders and contracts by progressing and monitoring contract administration and procurement regulations.
