Duties
You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the DDG BRANCH (320.1), EXECUTION (320), WATERFRONT OPERATIONJS MANAGER (300A), WATERFRONTS OPERATIONS (300), MID-ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER, NORFOLK, VA
You will coordinate, schedule and administer assigned repair work.
You will take positive measures to prevent unauthorized modifications/alterations to a ship/boat in availability.
You will assure that cost versus schedule assessments are presented to the customer.
You will obtain, control and is accountable for customer funds.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience planning, contract administration, procurement regulations, and a professional knowledge of all the contract technical aspects involved all the repair and·overhaul of U.S. Navy ships and craft.
Experience performing funds management and accounting procedures promulgated by NAVCOMPT manuals to avoid misappropriation of funds
Experience preventing or alleviating planning delays, scheduling conflicts, and material problems.
Experience maintaining a wide range of pertinent data and evaluate the various problems associated with ship overhaul and modernization process.
Experience with ship repair, overhaul and management methods, practices, and problems.
Experience evaluating the many technical and complex problem areas that occur in ship repair.
