You will serve as a Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS) Electronics Technician in the Digital Engineering Department, Fleet Operations Support branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in San Diego, CA.

Duties

You will provide management oversight and program assistance supporting PMA280 Tomahawk In-Service Fleet Support on the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS). You will provide technical engineering leadership in fleet support, post­ developmental support, and in-service engineering for U.S. and allied ships, submarines, and shore facilities on all variants of the TWCS. You will provide Fleet direction in system test, documentation development, system analyses and assessments, maintenance and repair, and Fleet Operational assistance as the PMA280 Fleet Representative. You will provide management oversight and program assistance to resolve Tomahawk In-Service Fleet Support and Training problems and issues for those areas under the cognizance of PMA280. You will manage manage all aspects of the U.S. Tomahawk fleet operational support categories to surface platforms for deployed systems. You will provide advisory counsel to the Tomahawk Program Office while engaging in fleet technical liaison with other TTWCS support elements.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance to support systems engineering processes and task-oriented services involved in the execution of a Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS) project or program.
