You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in the SPECTRUM MARITIME ELECTRONIC WARFARE DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will manage and supervise personnel assigned to the waterfront and serve as the primary interface for all Spectrum Maritime Electronic Warfare Division activities on the East and West Coast. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership with respect to Navy Modernization for all Installation activities of Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems. You will develop requirements and plans to meet future needs of the organization. You will be responsible for the technical development, training, and advancement of personnel. You will perform required administrative duties including setting performance standards, evaluating employee performance, resolving complaints, timekeeping, affecting disciplinary action as necessary, and development and retention of employees.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering methodologies to coordinate surface ship maintenance, alterations and repairs and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes for a warfare program.
