You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the AVAILABILITY PLANNING DIVISION, MODERNIZATION AND INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION located in San Diego, CA.

Duties

You will lead a team of Combat System Technical Documentation personnel in support of US Navy surface fleet, US Coast Guard, FMS, and other ship/ shore facilities. You will provide on-site technical guidance and services to the Fleet, other Naval activities, and contractor partners related to ship combat systems technical documentation. You will develop proposals, Work Breakdown Structures, (WBS), Task Planning Sheets (TPS) and reports in support of assigned projects. You will review technical processes, engineering drawings and concepts. You will evaluate proposed engineering and design changes, develop and brief technical assessments in support of various combat and weapons systems, and establish and manage milestones for baseline and fleet weapon systems introduction.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing electrical engineering test events and resources to evaluate system readiness or resolve issues impacting the installation or modernization of shipboard combat systems.
