You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Special Security Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will be responsible for management of program strategies and security in order to fully meet the NAVAIR, Navy and DoD policies, programs and procedural requirements as they relate to Special Programs and SCI facilities within the command.
You will oversee and provide continuity of security for facility, personnel, visitor control, document control and equipment.
You will administer security indoctrinations and debriefings; informs individuals on the sensitivity of certain information and advises them on the safeguarding of such information
You will maintain constant liaison with other agencies and departments to coordinate security matters of mutual interest.
You will be responsible for oversight and implementation of program security test plans, flight test plans and Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans.
You will develop and conduct special security awareness education briefings
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Acclimated with the organizational structures, missions and programs of the Chief of Naval Operations, the Director of Naval Intelligence and Naval Commands. Comprehensive knowledge of protective devices, facilities, procedures and methods. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing on technical information and data pertaining to enhanced security. Accomplishing work assignments without day-to-day supervision, and knows when to seek higher-level resolution when unusual problems or discrepancies occur.
