About the Position: Serves as a Training Administrator (Special Operations) for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Assist in ensuring ensure the commands operational training is properly coordinated, synchronized, and financially resourced.
Provide recommendations on spend plans, POM actions, and tracks year of execution for the Division Operational Training budget.
Directly manages the Joint Operational Readiness Training System for the Command aligned, assigned, and attached forces.
Provide oversight of the Directorate Operational Training Budget through the approved spend plan.
Liaison with appropriate headquarters to ensure plans and training are coordinated and synchronized with the Command forces and other government-agencies.
Provide technical advice and assistance to the Chief and Deputy Chief of Training regarding operational training matters involving the command.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information SCI access for the duration of employment.
- IAW change 3 to AR-600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, this position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening, and random testing thereafter.
- This position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) 30 days or less travel to various locations approximately 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing funds/ budget data to assist with allocating funds for training requirements; managing training systems to support training events; and assisting in the development of training programs based on the needs of the command. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
