About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), 199th Infantry Brigade NCOA Supply Office, Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Use an automated supply system to research and verify complex property accounting processes.
Ensure proper procedures are followed in the cataloging, inventory management, excess property, property utilization and/or storage of materials/items.
Serves as a Supply Technician assigned to S-4, Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) representing the central point of contact for requisitioning, receipt, storage, issue, inventory management and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Ascertain by examination and observation that receipts, storage, use, disposition, and accounting records conform to procedures prescribed by applicable regulations and directive.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Exam and an annual exam thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening drug testing, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing technical assistance to customers for all non-expendable equipment; 2) overseeing receipts and reconciliations and ensures all contract/vendor obligations have met before authorizing payment; 3) receiving, store and issue a wide variety of supplies, weapons and equipment; AND 4) applying knowledge of automated supply systems to enter, correct and retrieve data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
