About the Position: US ARMY MILITARY DIST OF WASHINGTON THE ARMY AVIATION BRIGADE RM SECTION

Duties

Prepare Journal Vouchers (JV) to post cost transfers. Perform duties as a Site Invoice Processor. Defense Travel System (DTS) operations at times will include the role as the Finance Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA). Serve as a liaison with the Commercial Travel Office (CTO) as required under Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) policies. Maintain understanding of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) changes to ensure that all entitlements are authorized and reimbursed.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
  • Comp-time may be required, employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Employee is required to meet the financial requirements of the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program.

GS 9- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assist on complex issues with a resolution; apply support services to the organization; and assist with policies to ensure problems are resolved. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS11- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assist with funds distribution through systems such as General Func Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) or purchase orders for Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR); assist with reviews for Defense Finance Account Services (DFAS) reports; and collaborate with management on travel within the systems such as Defense Travel System (DTS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
