You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM COORDINATOR in theNAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will develop a process for identifying, collating, recording, prioritizing, assessing, and potentially satisfying requirements from mission partners. You will work closely with program executive leadership in the development and maintenance of long-term strategic planning efforts. You will directly supervise a civilian and military staff that serves as an interface and liaison to Combatant Commands and Military Service. You will maintain relationships with key stakeholders in support of activities of mutual benefit.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: Serving as a senior authority and expert consultant on all issues associated with requirements and capability integration; Working assignments involving problem definition, planning, and coordination with numerous internal and external organizations; Directly and indirectly supervising division employees; Conducting daily liaison with representatives across the US Government as required for the purpose of planning and de-conflicting military compartmented activities; Assisting in the formulation and implementation of engagement strategies.
