You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM COORDINATOR of a major Department of Defense (DOD) Program Office with the NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will interact with high-ranking civilian and military officials locally, at other commands, at higher headquarters, and Joint Staff.
You will coordinate with contracting officials and high-level technical staff of industrial contractors.
You will supervise budget estimates and adjustments, track progress and quality of organizational performance, and justify significant changes in staffing, equipment/facilities, and processes.
You will direct all aspects of the operations executed by the program office and conducted by military, civilian, and contractor personnel
You will administer Operations Division activities to ensure synchronization with HQ Staff, Supported Commands, and Strategic partners.
You will plan, design, and carry out all civilian performance management assignments
You will apply strategy and long term Program Management ideals recognizing accountability for the initiation, definition, establishment, management and closure of operational projects.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment/fail to pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Coordinating requirements with combatant commands, intelligence community and other federal government agencies; 2) Serving as an operational authority involved in joint and interagency project planning; 3) Establishing and maintaining relationships with a broad spectrum of individuals and groups inside and outside of the organization, including senior levels of DoD/federal government management; 4) Developing, implementing, managing and subsequent evaluation of operational projects based on identified DoD or Joint requirements
