You will serve as a GG-0132-15 Supervisory Intelligence Specialist at the NIMITZ Warfare Analysis Center within the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, MD. As the Deputy Department Head of the Naval Warfare Department, you will oversee analysis and reporting of current intelligence and long-range research, supervise and lead teams, manage personnel resources, and build collaborative relationships and networks.
Duties
You will coordinate with the Department Head in the planning for, defending, allocating, and executing the department’s annual budget, to include contract and organization level programs.
You will communicate authoritatively, both orally and written, to include senior level communications and support.
You will fulfill the full breadth of first level line supervisor responsibilities, to include building and leading teams.
You will establish department priorities to reflect customer requirements, and allocate resources to balance priorities among naval staff and fleet customer needs while building collaborative relationships and networks.
You will work closely with the Department Head in leading the department’s mission and be responsible for overseeing analysis and reporting of current intelligence and long-term research.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
- Some travel may be required (within/outside U.S.).
- Must have access to Special Programs, as required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:
1. Lead the organization's mission by overseeing analysis and reporting of current intelligence and long-term research.
2. Plan for, defend, allocate, and execute the organization's annual budget, to include contract and organization level programs.
3. Communicate authoritatively, both orally and written, to include senior level communications and support.
4. Demonstrate the full breadth of first level line supervisor responsibilities, to include building and leading teams.
5. Establish priorities to reflect customer requirements and allocate resources to balance priorities among customer needs while building collaborative relationships and networks.
