About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Rock Island Arsenal, IL
Duties
Coordinates highly complex requirement issues with contractor, installation organizational maintenance units, and Major Army Command (MACOM) representatives to ensure that military units are operationally ready and mission capable.
Develops cost-comparison studies on all functions of maintenance services performed by contractors to ensure the contractor is performing satisfactorily.
Technically and administratively monitors contractor business performance with regard to the installation maintenance mission in accordance with contract award Fee plans.
Plans, organizes, assigns, reviews and coordinates work; establishes or revises work methods/procedures.
Develops and evaluates policies and procedures governing the maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, and testing of equipment assigned to units and satellite activities for Field/Sustainment support maintenance and assistance.
Assigns duties/responsibilities; orients new employees; trains/develops employees; evaluates performance; schedules leave.
Serves as advisor on maintenance functions.
Reviews maintenance contracts proving written assessments.
Requirements

- Temporary duty travel of 20% may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: preparing, presenting maintenance reports, and monitoring maintenance contracts ; directing the use of the Army logistics information system; managing supply transactions; maintaining Total Army Maintenance Management System records and tracking all supply, repair parts, and labor costs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
