About the Position: The incumbent will serve as an Operations Officer at the Joint Center for International Security Force Assistance in Fort Leavenworth, KS.

Duties

Serve as the Operations Officer responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and executing the mission, functions, and activities of the Joint Center for International Security Force Assistance (JCISFA). Direct activities that involve synchronizing and reporting organizational status, and consolidating and analyzing performance-based management activities. Analyze task-oriented directives and make recommendations for completion with an emphasis on integration of SFA (Security Force Assistance) activities into Joint Force Operations and Combatant Commander Theater Campaign plans. Conduct comprehensive functional and operational analyses of all organizational projects. Orchestrate support for requirements and maintenance of JCISFA’s (Joint Center for International Security Force Assistance) annual Work Plan. Plan and assign work to personnel based on priority to meet organizational deadlines.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Travel 10% of the time may be required.
  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Employee is required to complete a SF-312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA).

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
