Duties
You will provide onsite installation management during the installation phase to ensure that Ship Alterations (SHIPALTs) and In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Projects are accomplished in accordance with all safety standards and directives.
You will develop the installation strategy for assigned and approved SHIPALTs for surface ships, carriers, and submarines.
You will provide information and recommendations to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment and systems.
You will invoke all Quality Assurance and safety standards into alteration installations, and In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) tech assists ensuring that Alteration Installation, and ISEA Teams are in accordance with such standards.
You will provide shipboard support in the coordination, preparation and implementation of all technical efforts required to support the execution of SHIPALT installations and ISEA Tech Assists on assigned platforms.
You will provide support for the advance planning and preparation of SHIPALTs, new constriction, and ISEA projects.
You will ensure that the approved Alteration QA manual is reviewed and signed prior to start of install by install team leader, and ensure all pre-start checklists are completed.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: directing the development, schedule, and installation of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) ship alterations (SHIPALTs).
GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in directing the development, schedule, and installation of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) ship alterations (SHIPALTs).
