About the Position: Serves as Command Strategic Planner in the CG Initiatives Group (CIG), Headquarters, Army Materiel Command (HQ AMC).
Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 9 months and cannot be made permanent.
Duties
Serves as technical expert, analyst, and advisor to the Commanding General, Army Materiel Command on a wide range of issues related to the organization to include policies, practices and procedures.
Conducts special analysis of issues related to resources (funding/time) required and/or available to carry out missions in areas of Organic Industrial Base (OIB) capabilities, sustainment, logistics and evaluation of various projects.
Conducts strategic analysis to determine which efforts can be initiated, modified, or eliminated in light of current operations, future requirements and changes at the Department level.
Researches, analyzes, and works closely with other action officers to prepare and edit strategic messages for delivery by executive leadership.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last up to 9 months.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of experience which includes planning, organizing and carrying through to completion various projects to include Organic Industrial Base (OIB), trip planning for senior leaders, logistics, sustainment, presentations and briefings; and preparation of supporting information and data to facilitate decision making in support of organizational goals and objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
