About the Position: This Program Support Assistant will support the administrative requirements of Military Design Branch within the Engineering Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District. The Military Design Branch is responsible for supervision and coordination of the District's Military Master Planning program, the Military Design (in-house and AE) program, and the Interagency and International Services (IIS) program.
Duties
GS-08 Complete training requests and/or travel orders.
GS-08 Conduct property audits on behalf of the Branch and/or Division Supervisors.
GS-08 Execute general administrative tasks, such as completing time and attendance for staff, developing correspondence, purchasing, ordering supplies, and/or completing standardized forms for employees/supervisors.
GS-07 With moderate oversight, assist in the completion of training requests and/or travel orders.
GS-07 With moderate oversight, assist the Branch and/or Division Supervisors in the management and/or conducting of audits on branch and/or division property.
GS-07 With moderate oversight, execute general administrative tasks, such as completing time and attendance for staff, developing correspondence, purchasing, ordering supplies, and completing standardized forms for employees/supervisors.
GS-06 In a learning capacity and with significant supervision, assist in the completion of training requests and/or travel orders.
GS-06 In a learning capacity and with significant supervision, assist the Branch and/or Division Supervisors in the management and/or conducting of audits on branch and/or division property.
GS-06 In a learning capacity execute general administrative tasks, such as completing time and attendance for staff, developing correspondence, purchasing, ordering supplies, and completing standardized forms for employees/supervisors.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of the time.

GS-08 PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) POSITION
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Utilizing automated systems to executing time and attendance procedures; (2) Completing standardized forms related to the execution of common administrative tasks, i.e. property audits, leave slips, and/or travel requests; or (3) Developing and update standard operating procedures for offices to help employees complete routine operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.
GS-07 PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) POSITION
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) With moderate oversight, execute time and attendance procedures; (2) With moderate oversight, complete standardized forms related to the execution of common administrative tasks, i.e. property audits, leave slips, and/or travel requests; or (3) With moderate oversight, develop standard operating procedures for offices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-06 PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) POSITION
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) In a learning capacity and with significant supervision, execute time and attendance procedures; (2) In a learning capacity and with significant supervision, complete Standardized forms related to the execution of common administrative tasks, i.e. property audits, leave slips, and/or travel requests; or (3) In a learning capacity and with significant supervision, develop standard operating procedures for offices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.

Management may select at the GS-6, GS-07 or GS-08 level.
This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position (GS-08) without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.
