About the Position: Serves as Program Support Assistant in the Office of Counsel of the U.S. Army Engineer District, Baltimore supporting the District Counsel and Deputy District Counsel (Managing Counsel). Programs in the Baltimore District are politically sensitive, varied, and complex in nature and other sensitive and highly visible. The incumbent performs a variety of management and administrative services in support of the Office of Counsel.
Duties
Serves as the central point of contact to oversee and coordinate the executive functions of the OFFICE OF COUNSEL.
Utilize official automation to perform administrative functions for the division.
Interact with internal and external customers to provide guidance on corporate and division level process.
Prepare various non-recurring reports involving the assembly of data and statistics regarding work functions of the division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must possess a valid State-issued driver's license.
- The duties of this position require Travel up to approximately 5% of the time.
- This position requires the skill of a qualified typist.

Specialized Experience:
One year specialized experience at the next lower grade such as: 1) Experience performing a variety of administrative duties such as tracking critical suspense dates; 2) Experience providing guidance or information in an advisory capacity in any of the following areas: human resources/personnel policy, travel policy, purchasing or training 3) Experience utilizing automated systems to conduct administrative duties such as, time and attendance; travel orders/vouchers; personnel actions or financial transactions.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
