About the Position: Serves as the Program Support Assistant to the Division Chief/Assistant Chief, Branch Chiefs, Team Leaders, and Division.
Duties
Plan, coordinate and manage personnel management functions and personnel actions.
Assist in preparation of the annual operating budget, administer and monitor expenditures in accordance with policy and Division goals/objectives.
Plan, coordinate and maintain administrative functions and records.
Understands and applies procedures, requirements, regulations and policies related to specialized experience.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require Travel up to approximately 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized experience: To qualify for this position you must meet the one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS- 7 in the federal government which includes: 1.) Experience and knowledge of administrative and management principles, human resource rules, procedures and guidance regarding staffing, classification, training, and benefits as well as the ability to present findings in a clear persuasive manner. 2.) Experience discussing issues with supervisors within Division as well as those in other Division/Office to gather information, make recommendations or make decisions. 3.) Experience researching and giving recommendations, and making decisions involving safety, security, legal, contracting, personnel, financial budget, manpower, and logistical and other related matters. 4.) Experience determining staff issues such as: organization designs, workspace requirements, workflow, etc., using various analytical techniques.
