The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first-level supervisor in the Key systems Element and is accountable for all product support matters regarding performance and supportability. Incumbent is responsible for the development, interpretation, standardization, and implementation of policies and procedures related to the comprehensive product support strategy.
Duties
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and oversees the product support planning and management activities of acquisition and sustainment for assigned Air and ground COMSEC and Key programs, projects, and systems.
Leads an LCL Integrated Product Team (IPT) for product support execution.
Oversight of the Air and Ground COMSEC Product Support functions.

- This position is a Life Cycle Logistics Level II and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.
Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by the depth and quality level of experience to successfully perform the duties of a Logistics Management Specialist which includes: Using a wide range of advanced principles, concepts, procedures, standards, and techniques of Integrated Product Support Logistics elements sufficient to plan and execute a complex and difficult product support program; Applying new developments to issues for which previous techniques are frequently inadequate; Understanding program goals and objectives and the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones; Planning, programming, presenting, and executing budgets; Working knowledge and oversight of requirements determination; Working knowledge of logistics functions for standard and non-standard supply systems (COMSEC), programs, and systems applicable to product support; and Providing sources, responsibilities, assistance and advice related to life cycle integrated logistics, safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions and program applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; systems acquisition process, and all aspects of life cycle logistics management; and must understand the specific impacts of mandated acquisition training and development program policies.
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of Air Force Strategic Operations for the 21st century (AFSO 21) principles to identify problems and generate innovative solutions.
Skill in stratifying resources against approved programs; planning; presenting; and executing budgets; analyzing budget impacts on programs; forecasting long-term funding requirements; reviewing; evaluating; and presenting data; and supporting analysis of logistics management programs and activities' specialized documentation, etc.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the staff of an organization including special study teams and task forces composed of members from different organizations and commands.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
