The primary purpose of this position is to the Chief of Air & Ground COMSEC Logistics Section and and serve as the overall Life Cycle Logistics Product Support Manager overseeing and managing the development and implementation of all Air & Ground COMSEC Program product (weapon system) support strategy and single point of contact throughout the system's life cycle for a major defense acquisition program.

Duties

1. Plans, organizes, and oversees the product support planning and management activities of acquisition and sustainment for the Air & Ground COMSEC Systems Product Support Planning. 2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. 3. Oversees the activities of a LCL Integrated Product Team (IPT) for product support execution. Plans, organizes, and oversees the sustainment and support activities required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of assigned weapon systems, subsystems, and components, including all functions related to weapon system readiness, in support of the Program Manager's life cycle management responsibilities. 4. Reporting and Reviews. Ensures processes and procedures are in place within the Program Office for accurate collection and reporting of Title 10, Section 2464 (Core) and Section 2466 (Depot 50-50) data, and provides such data IA W data calls.

Qualifications

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information is required. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. Examples of creditable experience include: various engineering, architecture, and other related technical disciplines necessary to deliver expert advisory services. Overseeing and managing the development of strategic programs. Exercising Supervisory duties and overseeing the Life Cycle Logistics. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects oflife cycle integrated logistics support. 2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors. 4. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the staff of an organization including special study teams and task forces composed of members from different organizations and commands. 6. Knowledge of Air Force Strategic Operations for the 21st century (AFSO 21) principles to identify problems and generate innovative solutions. 7. Skill in stratifying resources against approved programs; planning, presenting, and executing budgets; analyzing budget impacts on programs; forecasting long-term funding requirements; reviewing, evaluating, and presenting data; and supporting analysis of logistics management programs and activities' specialized documentation, etc. 8. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
