The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first-level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Product Support section.
Duties
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Product Support Management, ensuring that logistics management complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
DUTY 3: Represents AFLCMC/HNC Product Support Manager (PSM) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
DUTY 4: Oversees the activities of a LCL Integrated Product Team (IPT) for product support execution.

- Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

- This position is Acquisition Category L, Life Cycle Logistics Level II and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of the logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions and program applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; systems acquisition process, and all aspects of life cycle logistics management; and must understand the specific impacts of mandated acquisition training and development program policies. Knowledge of Air Force principles to identify problems and generate innovative solutions. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other governmental agencies that interface with and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures; and of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
3. Skill in providing wide range of advanced principles, concepts, procedures, standards, and techniques, and the techniques of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) sufficient to plan and execute complex and difficult product support program, and to apply new developments to issues for which previous techniques are frequently inadequate.
4. Skill to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of system programs and/or equipment and integrate, analyze, and manage variety of acquisition functions as well as executing budgets, financial documentation, and contractual assistance for forecasting short and long term mission requirements.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
