This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), IBC Financial Management Directorate. The incumbent will be responsible for a myriad of day-to-day administrative support services that impact the activities performed by the Financial Management Directorate.
Duties
Assists with providing training for client agencies and internal constituents on an ad-hoc basis.
Works with leadership within FMD to proactively meet with customers and advise them of customer status, issues, and concerns.
Exercises control over the Associate Director and/or Deputy Director's calendars with authority for changes or commitments of time.
Serves as a contact/liaison for customer inquiries, appropriately gathers information and distributes to the appropriate FMD personnel
Qualifications
At the GS-07, you must meet one of the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. More specifically, this requirement involves experience communicating with customers or stakeholders in a business or entity; planning, scheduling, and making travel arrangements for events or meetings; managing executives' calendars and scheduling executive's meetings; training personnel on new processes.

B. Have one full year of graduate level education.

C. Have equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience directly related to the work of this position as outlined above. For example: 9 semester hours of successfully completed graduate level education and 6 months of specialized experience.

D. Have Superior Academic Achievement (SAA): To qualify for SAA, applicants must have completed all the requirements for a bachelor's degree in a curriculum related to the position to be filled and meet one of the following:
Class standing - Applicant must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
Grade-point average (G.P.A.) -- Applicants must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2years of the curriculum.
Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society - Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in one of the national scholastic honor societies recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet this requirement.
