You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (Customer Support) in the Activity Customer Technical Representative (ACTR) Office, Business Systems Division, Business Operations Department, My Navy Career Center (MNCC) of TSC PENSACOLA.
Duties
You will Diagnose an organization's failed data management system.
You will document results of a performance assessment to advise on findings.
You will analyze network information to measure performance and system utilization.
You will partner with system administrators to minimize system downtime.
You will gather information technology (IT) supporting plans, designs, programming and engineering documentation for an IT program.
You will provide Electronic Help Desk customer support on all command information technology issues.
You will ensure expedient resolution and tracking, providing users with status and information about the final solution.
You will provide direct customer support to customers who need advice, assistance and training in applying hardware and software systems including resolving delays or conflicts in NMCI problem resolution.
You will provide user support for computer system and software issues by troubleshooting, debugging, upgrading, and problem solving for the standard/non-standard computer hardware and software on both standalone and networked systems.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining IT inventory to ensure accountability of assets; 2) Investigating IT issues to resolve system problems; and 3) Developing IT reports to submit to leadership.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-7: Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
Successfully completed 1 full year (18 hours) of graduate level education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and my education has equipped me with the competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position as described in the job opportunity announcement.
