You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the NAVFAC Information Technology Center (NITC) of the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC).
Duties
You will prepare and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) security plans and associated artifacts used in the authorization and annual security reviews.
You will conduct risk assessments, testing security controls/assessment procedures and using technology specific Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) supporting RMF Assessment and Authorization activities.
You will assess and review proposed changes for Cybersecurity impact as part of Change/Configuration Management of assigned business systems.
You will ensure information and resources are managed consistent with cybersecurity laws and governing policies.
You will ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package.
You will review or comment on all SDLC security documents.
You will ensure appropriate security controls are applied during each SDLC/RMF Phase.
You will ensure that specific Continuous Monitoring activities are being performed.
You will conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package
You will provide information security expertise to system development teams.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: duties1) Advanced knowledge of DoD, Don IT Cyber Security policies, processes and guidelines.2) Skilled in performing system security evaluations, audits and review for compliance with IT guidelines. 3) Ability to assess security effectiveness of installed systems, formulate and implement plans, practices and procedures to minimize vulnerabilities.4) Skilled in ensuring the application of appropriate security measures.5) Ability to understand how to extract requirements from implementation guidance and instructions.
