This position is located in the Upper Colorado River District in Grand Junction or Silt, Colorado.
Duties
Serve as an Administrative Support Assistant in any Field, District, or State/Center organization within the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
Perform a wide variety of administrative support functions and specialized duties each requiring a comprehensive working knowledge of special and/or complex subject matter, procedures, or practices.
Serve as a principle point of contact on specific technical aspects or programs related to office administration, resolving non-recurring problems and issues.
Provide advice and recommendations to management on improving administrative operations.
Requirements

- Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males

- You cannot hold an active real estate license, nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands.
- If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:
Specialized Experience GS-07: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing at the following: (1) serving as the clerical point of contact on property and fleet matters; (2) processing transactions in an automated financial system; (3) tracking and inventorying managed property.
