You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Global Deterrence Defense Department (GX), Strategic Microelectronics Division (GXM), Business Operations Branch (GXMD)of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.
Duties
You will serve on the Program Needs Working Group (PNWG) of the Strategic Rad Hard Electronics Council (SRHEC).
You will solicit, on a continuing basis, aggregate needs from various Space and Strategic program offices for electronic components, usually projecting ~30-year lifecycles if possible.
You will serve on the OASG Radiation Hardened Electronics Working Group (WG).
You will serve as the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program as required by SSP2334 and is responsible
for scheduling meetings with winning contractors for periodic review.
You will serve on the SSP LE2 Electronics Working Group (EWG) and the LE2 survivability working group (SWG).
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 grade level) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and executing technical analysis and problem resolution for the testing processes of electronic systems (e.g. microelectronics) while improving the efficiency and execution of electronic warfare projects or programs.
