You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).

Duties

You will serve in the Tactical Air Control Party–Modernization (TACP-M) projects and subsystems. You will work on complex state-of-the-art Weapon and Command and Control (C2) systems and subsystems, providing expertise, review, oversight and interface with customers. You will be responsible for briefing and communicating program status and issues to management, customers and supporting agencies. You will provide recommendations to program office and management.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical engineering project oversight and assessing engineering design and modifications on sensor systems or components and communication systems to develop solutions and resolve complex problems and issues to increase application.
